Shop Buru is an online fashion retailer—a business where image and imagery is everything. Morgan Hutchinson created the clothing brand for the modern mother. And when it comes to marketing online and via social media, thoughtful, quality photography is crucial. The amount of time needed to grab a customer’s attention is brief. The impact must be immediate.

Shop Buru established an aesthetic that is bright and fun. Our goal was to shoot and deliver photographs that were equally bright and airy, highlighting the overall style as well as some of the product lines carried by the e-store boutique. The assignment, in the end, was to capture the aura, essence, and spirit of the company, balancing documentary storytelling, advertising, and portrait content….

We couldn’t have been more excited about the opportunity to work with the internationally recognized “Empty Bowls” Project. The event is aimed at fighting hunger and is personalized by art organizations on a community level. The regional chapter is graciously hosted by Paducah, Ky based poet & ceramicist Michael Terra, owner of Lowertown’s Terra Cottage Ceramics.
