Fashion photography? Art photography? Editorial photography? How about all that rolled into one?!
Working with Nashville Arts Magazine allowed us to blend many different aspects of photography into one shoot. Working with Fashion Editor Milton White, Junior Fashion Stylist Alexa Lipman, Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Jenny Garner, and Model Aliene Brooks, one of the goals was to highlight clothing that reinforced the artwork backdrop.
Both the fashion and the art conveyed a sense of movement. We decided to pull those dynamics to the forefront with images that conveyed motion in every aspect. The result was editorial photographs that were vibrant and lively every way, a high level of life achieved in each image.
The images promoted Nashville Fashion Week, a showcase of locally based designers, fashion photography, runway shows, and a fashion gala. It’s always inspiring and stimulating to take on a commercial, fashion photography assignment in Nashville, one of America’s fastest growing cities. The scene is dynamic and fun to photograph.
